Garland Cottage

Garland Cottage is an 18th Century grade II listed cottage situated in the picturesque conservation village of Sutton Poyntz.

Sutton Poyntz is 'Overcombe' in Thomas Hardy's novel 'The Trumpet Major', and the cottage is named after the petite central character, Anne Garland.

Peacefully located alongside the pond where ducks swim beneath branches of green willow, the cosy two bedroom cottage has been tastefully renovated, whilst still retaining its traditional charm.

Whilst only a short drive from the fine beach and other award winning attractions of Weymouth, the cottage is set in glorious walking country and from here one can climb half a mile west to the Iron Age fort of Chalbury, or walk east across fields and chalk downland to the famous White Horse - cut in 1807, which is visible from Weymouth and Portland.

The cottage provides self catering holiday accommodation for two to four people and is also available for short breaks.
